An interesting aspect of still life for me was using light and shadow to create a stark contrast within the image, photographers that inspired me to do this would be;

I thought that I could transfer these application of hard light into still life, using the the light to bring out the textures and hard lines of the objects, whilst placing them in an otherwise dark environment, creating a sense of depth and three dimensionality.
To achieve this I used black craft paper as a backdrop and a powerful LED torch as my light source. I positioned the camera on a tripod and pointed the light at the object at many different angles until I received the desired effect.
